“One man’s trash is another man’s treasures.”

The “Green” trend has got people to not only think eco-friendly but it’s a new type of fashion as well. The recycled trend has got people buying and making organic clothing, going vintage, and even making handmade recycled jewelry. Since Vintage is now trendy and hand me downs aren’t such a bad thing anymore, people are going to their mom’s closets for clothes instead of buying new ones. Also designers like Yaov Kotik, who is making handmade jewelry using disposed bottle caps, the pieces are fun yet wearable and the best part is there recycled. Some of today’s top brands are even going green. Companies like Topshop, Zara, and Anthropology have been jumping on this trend by producing clothes made out of organic fibers. Even bigger designers, like Oscar de la Renta and Proenza Schouler, have been rocking the runways with pieces made out of organic fibers like bamboo and even corn. This new wave of eco-friendly products has also inspired the Senate to try to ban grocery stores from providing bags, they say many of the bags end up on the beaches and are having a big impact on our environment. This trend has turned the average hippie in to hip.
